Occupational Therapy for Children
Occupational therapy for children in Dubai
We support children to participate more comfortably and confidently in the everyday activities that matter to them — at home, school, and in play.
Who this service is for
Children whose development, sensory processing, movement, attention, or daily routines are making participation feel harder than it needs to be.
Common concerns
- Sensory sensitivities or sensory-seeking patterns
- Coordination, balance, posture, or fine-motor challenges
- Difficulty with dressing, eating, sleep, toileting, or other routines
- Challenges with attention, emotional regulation, or transitions
- Handwriting, classroom participation, or play skills
- Retained primitive reflexes affecting functional development
What assessment involves
A paediatric occupational therapy assessment starts with a detailed conversation about your child and the activities that matter to your family. We then observe functional skills and, where relevant, explore sensory processing, postural control, neuromotor foundations, and retained reflexes. You will leave with clear next steps tailored to your child.
What therapy sessions look like
Therapy sessions are practical, goal-led, and responsive to your child. They may include movement-based activities, sensory regulation strategies, fine-motor or daily-living skill practice, and parent or carer guidance that makes progress easier to carry into everyday life.
